Baku is located in the South Caucasus of Europe. This city is globally known for its rich culture and history. From the first Zoroastrians Temple to the Sharwān Shāh rulers of 861, it has been about diversity and evolution throughout the years. Baku has now become the embodiment of traditions meeting modernity.

1. Qubernator Café

Qubernator Café is located in the peaceful corner of Philharmonic Garden. It is one of the oldest gardens of Baku; you must visit its Philharmonic Fountain which is hidden inside the park. The place is fantastic for photographs. The contrast of marble with the lushness of greenery looks spectacular in pictures.

The place opens only during the summer season. Order their unique flavours of sheesha, while cherishing the beautiful sight of colourful flowers surrounded by the Old City walls. Quietly, listen to the romantic music mixed with the chirping of birds for an overall soothing effect. This cafe is open all day till late at 2 am. But the best time to visit this place is in the evenings as the garden glimmers with shine at golden hour. They serve both European and Azerbaijani delights that happen to be vegan-friendly as well. Their extensive menu has a wide range of salads, desserts and even wake-me-up coffees!

2. Çay Bağı 145

For an even elevated Sheesha experience visit Cay Bagi 145, it is nestled between the old Maiden Tower and the Icherisheher City Center. The traditional “Tea Garden 145” is beautifully located on the rooftop of Banu Hamams. This four-storey building is very spacious with a sitting capacity of 323 people.

Choose their terrace area to sit and enjoy the picturesque scenery while you relish the exotic yet outstanding flavours of sheesha. Order their vegan or gluten-free treats alongside to further enhance this tempting experience. Do try their breakfast menu as well, the locals say it is one of the best you will find in the entire city.

3. Malacannes

Spot this sheesha place in the Molokan Garden, a small but distinctive park in Baku. Malacannes is a cafe cum bar that offers posh sheesha services. This chic place has petite captain chairs set around small-rounded white tabletops with ambient yellow lights disguised under the brown-themed decor.

Even though this cafe looks very high-end, you do not have to dress up quite a lot to come here, the ambience is very chill and laidback. Their sheesha’s are exquisite. They also have a separate lounge for it. Their menu has many vegan/gluten-free options as well.

From budget-friendly to luxe, Baku has all kinds of sheesha cafes. One must visit these to experience the true colours of Baku’s night life!
