Overlooking the Waikapu Valley, The Mill House is situated in the heart of the Maui Tropical Plantation and is surrounded by farmland. It is one of the most romantic dining experiences on the island, and the chefs are influenced by what’s fresh and in season. So remember to go for an early dinner, ask for a table outside when making your reservation and enjoy a delicious farm-to-table meal with breathtaking views!

A Master Chef Wolfgang Puck restaurant, Spago is situated inside the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea and has panoramic ocean views. The restaurant’s ambiance is casual yet elegant, and has an Asian-inspired contemporary design. Go early to enjoy the sunset, indulge in a cocktail, and get pampered at the lounge! Move to the dining room for dinner, and enjoy a delicious meal of  Asian-inspired Californian fare. As always, try to leave space for dessert! You are on holiday after all.

Make a reservation in advance so you don’t miss out on this Asian fusion restaurant in Lahaina! I am normally not one for cocktails, but the Asian Pear stole my heart. The Watermelon Chill was also delicious. Now onto the food: everything was so yum! We ordered the taro dumplings, pan roasted mushrooms and garlic noodles, and everything was on point. The portions are big, so go hungry and share. Lastly, dessert: Save some space for the Malasadas, traditionally Portuguese and made popular in Hawaii as the donut of the islands. Here they are served with a chocolate, miso caramel and a yuzu basil sauce, a perfect night.

This is a small tavern that is sitting above the Mala Wharf in Lahaina that has spectacular views of the ocean front. You can even see sea turtles doing their daily activities in the surf. There are healthy and organic vegetarian choices for everyone here. This tavern has a beautiful patio with large and breezy windows.

A vegetarian and vegan friendly cafe focused on fun, yummy and sustainable eating that is a must visit when in Lahaina! I went back twice because everything on their menu was so good. They have daily specials that focus on what’s fresh in the market, and on weekend they have a special brunch menu. Make sure to try their Ulu (breadfruit) wheat flatbread, it’s homemade and so delicious.

This is a cozy vegan cafe located on the west side of the island in Napili, Maui. Everything in the place is local, from paper straws to furnishings. It’s a perfect lunch spot for healthy goods that are yummy and beautiful plated. My favorite was the tofu scramble toast topped with avocado, and the pitaya dragon bowl. I only discovered this on my last day in Maui, but wish I had come sooner.

Shave Ice was first brought to Hawaii by the Japanese, a refreshing treat in the hot, tropical climate. Now it can be found all over the islands, and Ululani’s is the best on Maui. It’s menu is Maui-inspired with tropical flavors such as coconut, mango, pineapple, guava to name a few and some delicious combinations such as The Haleakala (coconut, leche topped with sweetened condensed cream). They have 6 locations on the island, so you have no excuse to miss it!

Time for ONO (delicious) Hawaiian shave ice 🍧😋@ululanishawaiianshaveice Made with crushed ice and fruit syrups from #canesugar and #realfruit Ululani’s in Maui is a must visit especially on a hot, beautiful, sunny #Sunday 🤙🏼💖. . Seen: Keiki (kids) cup, with a scoop of #coconut ice cream 🍨🥥 on the bottom and mango, lychee and peach shave ice 🍧🍑 on top! Also sprinkled with Li Hing Mui Powder (which is pickled plum, sweet and savory) Can be made #vegan without the ice cream. . If interested, the history of Shave Ice in Hawaii: #Shaveice was brought to Hawaii by the Japanese 🇯🇵 who migrated here to work in the sugar cane plantations and pineapple fields 🌴🍍 They wld take a block of ice & shave it using a machete, then pour different flavored juices or syrups on them. . It was a refreshing treat in the hot, tropical climate ☀️💛 In those days, shave ice was sold only on Sundays, the only day off the plantation workers received. . Eventually the Japanese immigrants moved off the plantations, opened grocery stores with shave ice 🍧💖 making it commercial & very popular. Thank You 🙏🏼 ✨. . . #icecream #maui #hawaii #dessert #sweeeeets #sweettooth #dessertgram #insiderdessert #yelpmaui #fruitlover #sundayfunday #islandtime #hawaiilife #hawaiistagram #mauihawaii #🍧 #foodblogger #eatfamous #vegetarian #shavedice #treatyoself #summertreat #labordayweekend #plantbased

Go, and go early! The pies do get sold out. This is a family friendly cafe that serves the most delicious homemade sweet and savory pies. For those of you with a sweet tooth, they are famous for the banana cream, coconut cream and olowalu lime pies, and for all of you chocolate lovers the mac nut chocolate and peanut butter pies are swoon worthy too! For savory, the hand held corn pie is my recommendation for vegetarians.
