Nothing tastes better than some delicious fried cheese that just melts in your mouth. This is the best recipe to make for your kids back from school, or a snack between meals or a girls night in. With just a few simple ingredients, which you can find in your local supermarket, you can whip this snack up within 30 minutes.

For the Batter 

4 Tablespoon Plain Flour (maida)

2 Tablespoon Cornflour 

1/2 Teaspoon Oregano 

1/2 Teaspoon Chilli Flakes 

1/2 Teaspoon Pepper 

1 Tablespoon Basil Leaves 

1/2 Tablespoon Salt


Other Ingredients 

2 cups bread crumbs-Take 6 breads and Blend it in a Blender to a coarse powder.

250gms Britannia Mozzarella Cheese 

Oil for frying 


For serving 

Tomato Ketchup 



  1. Cut the mozzarella cheese into sticks (like French fries)
  2. Combine all the ingredients for the batter in a bowl and make a thick batter.
  3. Dip each cheese stick into the batter and coat with a thick layer of bread crumbs, pressing then firmly. Refrigerate them for 45mins.
  4. You can double coat the sticks with the batter and crumbs so that the cheese does not ooze out. 
  5. Deep fry a few pieces at a time in a very hot oil until it’s golden brown. 
  6. Serve it hot with tomato ketchup. 



The oil should be very hot, and the sticks should be fried on a high flame.
