Copper Branch started its food revolution with the mission of serving the community with quality food and offering the world real food as fast-food. With 100% plant-based food menu, all their packaging and products, as well as restaurant interiors are focused on environmental responsibility. The Canadian-based vegan chain already has 35 locations across North America and plans to open 15 more to round up their total to 50 locations by April 22 which also coincides with Earth Day, making them the largest vegan chain in the world.
Vegans everywhere will rejoice at the food chain’s menu composed primarily of salads, smoothies, soups, wraps, burgers, bowls, sandwiches, and smoothies that boast of ingredients such as turmeric, organic kamut, and chia seeds. Aside from being staunch advocates of Mother Nature, Copper Branch also happens to contribute a portion of money for every transaction made on its loyalty card to Rainforest Trust. Rainforest Trust is an organization that has a mission of protecting the world’s tropical rainforests.
Copper Branch wants to introduce people to vegan food that is not only healthy, but also delicious at the same time. Plant-based foods do not have to be bland and devoid of flavor. They serve wholesome and healthy foods that offer energy, with a focus on health, great taste, vitality, responsibility and convenience. Aside from preparing chef-inspired sumptuous dishes, they also contribute to the protection of the planet with initiatives such as One Tree Planted and Rainforest Trust.
The vegan food chain plans to have at least 200 locations by 2020, mostly in Europe and the United States. Rio Infantino, the CEO, has worked in the fast-food industry his entire life and has suffered from weight gain and health problems. He was fed up with eating and serving food that had no nutritional value, hence the 360-degree turn to a menu that is made of ingredients full of health and quality that people won’t have any second thoughts serving them to family and friends.
