The Swedish teen who is only 16 years old has been inspiring young people from all over the world to carry out protests. She has encouraged students to participate in various demonstrations demanding political action on climate change. Not only that, it has also been reported that Greta, an active vegan, has also persuaded her family to go the meatless route.
Check out her twitter page for updates on her campaign to stop global warming and climate change:
Three lawmakers from Norway’s Socialist Left Party has recognized the massive movement that Greta has started as a very important contribution to peace and has nominated her for the Nobel Peace Prize. She is honored at the nomination and is very grateful for it. A recent speech made by Thunberg at climate change conference in Poland has reached millions of people from all over the world. She addressed world leaders at the conference and talked about the inaction of world officials costing the future of children.
She may seem like a frail figure in a sea of people, but she is a model of determination, positive action, and inspiration. She has criticized corporate executives and national leaders for their inaction and doesn’t flinch while doing so. An erstwhile introverted girl, Greta has realized that she can make a change. The daughter of a celebrated opera singer and actor, Greta was exceptionally bright, but she was diagnosed with Asperger’s four years ago. She first learned about climate change at the age of eight and was shocked at the apparent non-intervention of adults and it led her to spring into action.
There have been attacks on her appearance and reputation. Not new to bullying, she has also heard not so good things at school but remains undaunted. She has mentioned that the hate towards her is expected. She has found balance between doing homework and fighting to save the planet. She is breath of fresh air in the fight to ensure the future of children and save the world.
